MWPS Global can assist in worldwide shipping & transportation as well as full refurbishing and upgrade services at highly competitive prices.
MWPS Global works with highly skilled re-manufacturers, refurbishers, and machinists if upgrades or refurbishing is requested. This ensures the re-manufactured equipment is properly restored to the original manufacturers’ specifications and is refurbished according to our high standards. Refurbished wind turbines offered by MWPS Limited are completely disassembled and thoroughly inspected and cleaned. Our highly experienced wind turbine refurbishment affiliates evaluate the condition of the reconditioned wind turbine and replace all wear parts. The main moving components will be reconditioned to new or better than new standards. The controls, gearbox, hub, generator, hydraulic system are all thoroughly reconditioned and are either restored or replaced. All refurbished wind turbines come with a full technical report of the reconditioning work undertaken.

2010 GE Energy Model 1.5XLE Wind Turbine Gear Heads, Qty: 2, 1.5 MW Rated Generation Unit (does not include hub, blades or tower)
General
Manufacturer: General Electric
Production Date: 2010
Product Model: 1.5XLE
Serial Numbers: W01934 and W01935
Total Operating Hours: Zero (unused)
Total Weight of Product: Approx. 118,000 lbs. each
Condition Per Seller:
The available includes two new (unused) 2010 Energy Model 1.5XLE wind turbine gear nacelles, 1.5 MW rated generation units only. This does not include hub, blades, or tower.
On February 12, the railcar carrying the two GE gear heads was being switched. The railcar with the two gear heads was backed onto the siding where the derailed was inadvertently set. The car was derailed with the wheels setting on the ties/ballast and the car and load upright.
When the railcar was pulled forward, the wheels ran on the ties and track ballast for about 70 yards where the left side went off the end of the ties and the car rolled over. It came to rest upside down with the loaded gear heads upside down on the ground.
A 1.5XLE wind turbine is a 1.5MW unit with an installed hub height of 80 meters and a rotor diameter of 82.5 meters. The wind turbine components are manufactured and/or assembled at various locations. The gear heads were assembled at the Pensacola, FL facility. Each wind turbine consists of four major components that are shipped to the erection site separately. The components are the tower, the gear head, the hub, and the blades (three). The tower supports the assembled wind turbine. The three blades are attached to the hub that mechanically connects the blades to the main shaft (in the gear head). The gear head contains the energy conversion mechanical equipment.
The principal components of the gear head are enclosed in a nacelle and include:
A heat exchanger (for generator).
Control panel.
Generator.
Oil cooler (for hydraulic systems).
Mainframe.
Gearbox.
Yaw drive.
Yaw bearing.
Main shaft.
Main bearing.
Damage Scope: Gear W01934
The hydraulic power unit was bent. No damage was visible to the yaw bearing, yaw gear, main shaft, main bearing, gearbox, generator, and control panel.
The heat exchanger unit was broken loose from the mounting on top of the generator.
The nacelle was fractured in multiple locations.
2 of the 4 yaw drive gear motor mounts were fractured.
The hydraulic oil cooler radiator was damaged.
Gear W01935
The nacelle was fractured in multiple locations.
2 of the 4 yaws drive Gearmotor motor mounts were fractured.
The hydraulic oil cooler was knocked off the mounts.
The control panel was twisted and broken away from the mounting.
No damage was visible to the yaw bearing, yaw gear, main shaft, main bearing, gearbox, and generator.

Nordex celebrating its first twenty-five years. A major event is on our doorstep: This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary – a quarter of a century in which Nordex has been in business, 25 years in which wind power technology has advanced in gigantic strides, and in which the role played by Nordex in renewable energies has grown steadily. The number of Nordex turbines installed around the world since 1985 passed the 4,000 marks. Nordex grew by an average of 50 percent for the fourth consecutive year, thus beating its competitors and widening its share of the global market. In Rostock, work on extending rotor blade production commenced. Nordex China started preparing the next step in its extension efforts. In Chicago, Nordex USA’s head office was established. Nordex secured land in Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the construction of local production facilities. They closed the year with record sales of around EUR 1.1 billion. The Nordex Gamma generation is being readied for launch. Nordex AG converted in 2010 into a European Company (Societas Europaea, SE) with the name Nordex SE.

MWPS Price Slump
It is official! A new area has come and we at MWPS are the first to react to new market dynamics and kick-start the global price collapse for ‘Used & Second Hand Wind Turbines’ in the 200kW – 250kW range with this first of a soon to follow series of ‘Shock Price Offers’, pushing and establishing prices for 250kW turbines to a new record low which had not been seen before.
This unbelievably low priced M700 sales offer is the first of our new ‘SHOCK PRICE’ promotion campaign featuring only quality used & second-hand wind turbines of market-leading makes and models such as the Vestas V29 – Bonus B33/300 or Micon M750 to name a few and at highly aggressively low priced levels. MWPS being the first in the market yet again to recognize, remain unshaken but instead, are swiftly reacting and happy to adapt to the sudden climate change caused by recent events and the consequent impact which the natural market dynamics had at previous price levels.

Gone are the days when one of these Micon M700’s or M750’s easily fetched €80k+ with some units selling at sky-high prices of €95k Euros and above. This, of course, is history now and since the FIT’s (Feed-In Tariffs) and ROCs incentive scheme here in the UK had come to an early end as well as the soon to follow foreclosure of the similar government initiative in Italy which for some time contributed to the high price levels for the most popular Vestas V29, Bonus 300 or Micon M700/750.
We at MWPS are the first to acknowledge the drastic drop in demand for this size turbine (and so should any current owner who is intending to repower or sell their 250kW and better get used to the fact that their turbine has dropped in value nearly by half) and give away this complete package for only €29,800 EUR (As Is – Where Is) and even throw in a free 30m two-section tower to the first buyer who will complete the purchase within four weeks of signature. Don’t wait, don’t miss out, and call now to secure this priced to sell quick Micon M700.
